Translated description from Pax Cristi pamphlet: "Pax Cristi is an international catholic movement for peace with national sections in four continents. Its activities are usually in relations to problems of security and disarmament; human rights; East-West contact; North-South relations; education for peace; the spirituality of peace; non-violence; faith, dialogue and reconciliation; protection of creation. Pax Cristi has a consultant status at the UN, UNESCO, and at the Europe Council. In 1983 it received the "Education pour la Paix" prize from UNESCO, and in 1987 the "Messager de la Paix" prize by the UN."
