International Federation for East Timor
IFET was founded in 1991 with offices in Kyoto, Japan, and consultative status with the United Nations in New York. It grouped together dedicated solidarity groups in many countries, carrying out networking and coordination work, especially around the annual UN Decolonization Committee hearings.
In 1999, IFET formed an Observer Project (IFET-OP) to monitor the referendum in Timor-Leste.

ENAAT is a group of individuals and organizations that has been meeting in relations to stopping the arms trade since 1884.
Resistance Socialist Youth Organization
This group was created in 1967 by a group of university students in Australia to influence both campus and out of campus politics. It fights against a multitude of issues such as sexism, racism, and environmental destruction. It organizes social movements and campaigns for diverse issues. It associates with the Socialist Alliance and is anti-capitalist.
The East Timor News Agency was founded by Roger East as an independent news service. Roger East was executed by an Indonesian firing squad on December 8, 1975.

ETAN-US was formed in 1991 after the Santa Cruz massacre, and became the major US solidarity coalition. It published Network News, later renamed as Estafeta (Tetun for "messenger" or "courier"). Based in the New York area, it had chapters throughout the United States and for a time, a lobbying office in Washington. Key figures include Charles Scheiner, Lynn Frederickson, and John Miller.
